Service Engineer – Marine Evacuation Systems

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Engineer.

Your role will include servicing of Marine Evacuation Systems on a variety of commercial vessels.

Key responsibilities are:
  • Servicing of Viking Life-Saving Marine Evacuation Systems.
  • Liaising with customers in a professional manner.
  • Meeting service deadlines.
  • Assisting with the service of liferafts, lifeboats and davits and other marine safety equipment.
Skills required:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience servicing VIKING MES.
  • You will have strong mechanical/technical knowledge.
  • You will need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
  • You must have strong attention to detail, and good observation skills.
  • You must have excellent problem solving skills.
  • You must be a team player, with the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills will be expected.
  • You will be self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • You must be willing to attend further training and courses overseas.
  • You must have the ability to work flexible hours, as the business is a 24/7/365 industry.
Further aspects required for this role are:
  • You will have, or be able to renew, a current passport; and have no restrictions on overseas travel.
  • You will need to be willing to undertake a range of pre-employment testing and screening.
